A verity of painting from different exhibitions.Unique technique : The Sculptures are made of paper (white, brown wrapper paper or Newspaper).The paper is wrinkled, crumpled and folded as one full sheet of paper (without cutting the paper) until creating the hollow object. The Sculptures should hang on the wall like a 2D painting. The consumed wrapper paper wraps the Immortal soul. The hand is the essence of the human soul. Words like: wrapping, cover, recycling, consumed, shroud for dead, continuity, mourning, fossil, to miss and memory are in my mind when creating these works. The Sculptures are shroud for a moment. The consumed paper "keeps" a memory of the moment. The hands from the scene and the real moment have gone leaving a lot of fingerprints of movement and Emotion which are engraved in the paper Sculptures. I would like to excite and thrill people through my delicate Sculptures. As a memory of my parents Longing- to my parents stroking hands, until my last stroke of their hand when they died. Esther Domb Edelman I paint in oil, pastel and graphite pencil on canvas or special paper.This art method gives me a variety of paint brush possibilities. From traditional brush strokes of oil, to fresh tracks of brush full of terpentine (acvarel strocks),to pastel drawing. At the end of the process, I freely draw with a graphite pencil on the painting. Most of my paintings are in a very long and narrow format. (120x40, 120x20 cm. etc. ).This format creates a crowded confluence of colors, light and air, in special compositions. I paint in an abstruct expressive method, leaving a lot of fingerprints of the creation process. I would like the observed scene not to be seen as a realistic picture taken by a camera but as a reflection of my soul & temperament. new media artEtchings, aquatinta and prints from last year workshop in Artists home in Tel Aviv.
