About the Artist Hello my name is Shaun Garea and I am an award winning filmmaker from New Zealand, My works have played in art galleries on television and in theatres nationwide. My work has received support from such talented artists such as Jane Campion (Oscar and Palm d’Or winning director of The Piano and Bright Star), Richard Bell (producer of music videos by Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, U2, Mettalica) and Billy Gould (Bassist of Faith No More and CEO of Koolarrow Records). I have been working for the last few years on a feature film ‘A Dream of Dark Colours’ based on the novel ‘The Trial’ by Franz Kafka, unfortunately the city of Christchurch where preparation was underway suffered a devastating Earthquake in 2010 shelving the film indefinitely. Work on my latest project began soon after: ‘A Dream...’ takes the visual and emotional core of ADODC and presents it in new and unique way. Thankyou for visiting my exhibit, I hope you like the work and please leave some feedback or drop me a line :-)
