About the Artist Born London, UK 1944.As of 2010 I have amassed a body of over 600 paintings. My ‘wayward nature’ paintings are based on natural patterns, which are the outcome of partly random processes involving wind, water, growth and time that have been explored formally in Chaos Theory and Mandelbrot’s Fractal Geometry of Nature and artistically by Oriental Ink Painting Music has always played its part in the creation of paintings: beginning with Brian Eno and more recently Marconi Union and Loscil. Their music evokes for me the natural world through abstract means as My 'wayward nature' paintings attempt to produce a kind of visual ambience that is everywhere in Nature: a breeze disturbing the grasses or dust floating in the sunlight.
