favorite galleries

Expressionist representation of female forms. I am drawn (pardon the pun) to the female form mainly as a symbol, both personal and collective. It has impact as a symbol of nurture, earth. It has numinosity as a sexual symbol. it has a singularity -as a central theme. I try to shed detail and capture the essence of the figure in these works. I also react to the representation I have made: the connections and marks surrounding and through the subject matter are records of this treatment.
