About the Artist
All past experience coming together, tinged with the need to bring on the future here and now, is the perfect moment in artistic creation and remains the domain of the true artist. Style for its own sake has no lasting place in art. Art is an evolving thing, and as in everything that evolves, the perfect moment comes suddenly, as if by itself. That is why few artists can explain their work. I am not able to speak about myself as an individual artist with individual techniques, etc., I always return to art and appreciation in general. I think that is justified because no art is shut up in an individual. The individual is merely the midwife who helps to give it birth. I should have been a composer of fugues, sonatas and Music Dramas. An artist is his own worst critic and interpreter. As a painter-artist, I know my limitations: one should have a read at my books.
