About the Artist
Yoel Harel (the former name Julien Langberg suggesting that I was not born in the state of Israel and ,in my case, also went through the Holocaust period in my hometown of Bucharest – Romania) , was born a dreamer and I am characterized by this fact till to date. I see the reality as is it, but I give her additional means without changing any detail in it, to the photography I'm doing. Preoccupation with photography allows me to keep the proportions and to get not too far in my fantasy, and I find it to my advantage in concern to other arts. My camera was and is like a kind of leech sucking the human environment, animals and still life which by inspiration, the same elements, they become art.
