James Waligora, Landscape Artist. James Waligora received his BS degree in Accounting and Finance at University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1978. Jim pursued oil painting of landscapes after watching Bob Ross on the Public Broadcasting show The Joy of Painting. Although I cannot draw, I was fascinated at how simple Bob Ross made painting a beautiful landscape. After my first painting I was hooked on painting. You really do not have to know how to draw to paint a beautiful landscape. After learning to paint landscapes, I do not look at nature the same way. Especially, when watching the sky and clouds.
