About the Artist I was born and educated in Manchester, England, where I studied art under Harold Riley, one of England’s top Artists.
I arrived in South Africa in 1971 and worked for many years as an architectural draughtswoman in Somerset West.
I took up painting again 15 years ago initially in oils & acrylics. I began painting watercolours about 10 years ago and enjoy painting in loose washes.
Since then I have been experimenting with different mediums: oils, acrylics and watercolours.
My subject matter includes landscapes, wildlife, portraits and flowers. My work is in many private collections in England, Germany, Holland, America, Australia and South Africa. I am represented in various galleries in South Africa and has my own studio in Somerset West.
I am a member of the South African Society of Artists, and currently chair the Western Cape Watercolour Group.
