About the Artist I started painting at the age of five, a paint by number picture. I've taken one beginners paint class when I was seventeen, but other then that I've basically taught myself. I work with mostly oil paint and try to keep the thickness of the paint pretty thin, making the finished painting seem more like a photo than a painting. My technique of painting is mostly wet on wet, leaving no time in between to dry, which makes it quicker to complete. I like to paint on sheet canvas because it has the same feel as when you draw on paper. But when painting for a client I do tend to use frame canvas. I’m primarily influenced by the movies I watch and books I read, I also like to skim through fashion magazines to help me with body positioning.
Professionally I did a Cd cover for a Montreal based band called Arapacis, which has been in stores like Archambault. I’ve also had two of my paintings appear on TV, on PBS' Art auction, which aired in 2009.
