About the Artist I am captivated by the contrast I see in the world around me, especially that of the natural world. I also continue to search for abstraction by looking at the world in different ways. In my artwork I play with different colors and textures to show contrast and abstraction while still giving my inspiration my true beauty. The mediums I work most with are oil, watercolor, ink but I enjoy trying new mediums as well. I am for the most part a self taught artist but have been doing art my whole life and am always learning. I have gained inspiration from Picasso and the Dutch masters Vermeer and Rembrandt; the Dutch master for their impeccable grasp of light, color and form and Picasso for abstracting all three of those elements. I see beauty all around me everyday and am true to my instinct to create art that showcases this beauty by taking a more classical approach but I am also not afraid of breaking the mold.
