About the Artist
Michael Vannozzi (pronounced Van-ott-see) was born in Orange County, California August 10th 1958. His father is Isidore Vannozzi of Trenton, New Jersey and his mother is Mary Messina of New York City, New York. His father's family originated in Monteleone Di Spoletto, Italy. His mother's side of the family originated from Messina and Cane Cati, Sicily. Artist Statement: I refuse to be cast into a singular style or type of art, especially since I have the ability to do different forms. I have been grounded in realism and portraiture, but I also enjoy experimentation with abstract concepts and developing new techniques. To me, color, form and texture are the most important elements.
